Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the CertLock mobile application and website (together, the “Service”), operated by Renew Regime LLC (“CertLock,” “we,” or “us”). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You may use CertLock only if you can form a binding agreement and your use complies with applicable law. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

Your license

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use CertLock on devices you own or control in accordance with the rules of the App Store.

What CertLock does

CertLock is a study-accountability tool. It uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to shield applications you select and requires correct quiz answers before temporarily lifting those shields. You remain responsible for your device settings, study decisions, exam registration, and use of any application after an unlock.

Educational-content disclaimer

CertLock provides independent study questions for general educational use. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CompTIA. Security+ and related marks belong to their respective owners. CertLock does not guarantee that you will pass any certification exam, and its questions are not actual exam questions.

Accuracy of information

We work to keep study content accurate and aligned with published exam objectives, but errors or outdated information may occur. You should verify important concepts with official exam objectives and trusted study materials. Do not rely on CertLock for cybersecurity, legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

CertLock Premium is offered through auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions. Current planned pricing is $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, with a three-day free trial for eligible users. The price and trial shown in the App Store at purchase control if they differ from this page.

• Payment is charged to your Apple account after any applicable trial.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel in your Apple account subscription settings.
• Apple handles billing and refund requests under its policies.
• Paying for Premium enables the blocking feature but does not remove the quiz toll.

Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with, abuse, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service except where applicable law expressly permits. You may not use CertLock to violate law or infringe the rights of others.

Device permissions and availability

Blocking depends on compatible Apple devices, operating-system capabilities, Family Controls authorization, and settings you control. Apple may change these frameworks. We do not guarantee uninterrupted shielding, notifications, or access, and CertLock should not be used as a safety, parental-control, employment-compliance, or security-enforcement system.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its brand, design, software, original text, graphics, and question content, is owned by Renew Regime LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant permission to use our branding or content outside the licensed use of the Service.

Third-party services

CertLock relies on third-party services including Apple’s App Store and Screen Time frameworks and RevenueCat subscription infrastructure. We are not responsible for third-party availability, terms, or practices.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or exam outcomes.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renew Regime LLC and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost opportunities, exam costs, or losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for CertLock in the 12 months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars if you made no payment.

Termination

You may stop using CertLock and delete the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect the Service, investigate misuse, or comply with law. Provisions that should survive termination will continue to apply.

Changes

We may update the Service and these Terms as the product or law changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
